If you've come to the site in March, April or May, you may have gotten the idea that I'd given up, failed or forgotten about this site or even losing weight entirely. Fortunately, nothing is further from the truth. I've continued to not only lose weight, but I've kept careful track of my daily progress, knowing that I'd get back to updating the site again. What I didn't take into account is that I would get quite so backlogged, so until I'm caught up, I'm going to post a week's worth of updates every day with minimal blogging. I've made notes every now and then to record milestones, comment on changes to my plan, or just random thoughts. I'll summarize those with links to each post as I play catchup.
The big news is that today marks a 10% fat loss from my first weigh-in. It'll be a while before my average fat loss is below ten, but for now I can celebrate that I've dropped my first 10%. Incidentally, 10% of my initial 231.2 weight would be 23.1 pounds, and so far I've lost 23.8 pounds, so it seems that most of my loss so far has indeed been fat and not that precious muscle.
Today was a good day. Went to the Aquarium with a friend, and followed that up with a trip to Flip, a local gourmet burger place that makes the yummiest shakes. I'm a sucker for Krispy Kreme doughnuts, so a milkshake that tastes like one is simply divine. One of the things that I appreciate/love most about this weight loss plan is the flexibility that allows me to eat socially and really just enjoy myself, while still managing my food intake in the long term.
